Victorian Bathroom transformation

Victorian Bathroom transformation

This Victorian family bathroom was lacking in the character and period charm it deserved.

Our clients had a vision to transform their bathroom into a peaceful and relaxing space, in keeping with the original features of their home.

The brief was to change the existing layout to create a more practical and relaxing space for the whole family to enjoy.

The immediate goal was to create space by removing the huge bath and gloomy shower cubicle to create more visible floor space.

The plastic walls tiles were replaced with smart white metro tiles. Small hexagonal floor tiles were added. Both the wall and floor tiles were smartly finished with black grout.

The bath was upgraded to a classic Victorian roll top with black claw feet providing visible space beneath the bath making the room visibly larger.

A Victorian shower head and clear shower screen were installed to provide the illusion of space. The addition of a Victorian style radiator and hand basin ensured a cohesive space.

The final alteration was the addition of beautiful tin ceiling tiles and a new ceiling light fitting to add a real wow factor to the space!

The homeowners were thrilled with their beautiful classic meets modern bathroom. A space to be proud of and which they could enjoy and relax in for years to come.
