Lucas and his parent’s agreed that now he was 12 he needed a more grown-up space.
His parents decided to switch rooms around and move Lucas into the guest bedroom to allow him more space for him to have a double bed.
Lucas wanted to keep the room neutral but would also like it to look cool and maybe introduce some Industrial Style.
Lucas also needed a place to display his collection of rocks and minerals.
Our services
Used the original grey carpet
Painted the walls white for a bright and neutral look (and easy to cover any marks if needed)
Installed an Industrial ceiling light fitting with glass shade and retro light bulbs.
Added industrial style shelving above the bed for Lucas’ prints and accessories including an eye-catching faux skull.
The bedside tables were given a makeover with some new handles and finally we sourced a large blue retro letter L to go on the bedside table.
To finish the room off, I sourced an old printer’s tray for Lucas to keep his rocks, fossils and gemstones on display.
The final touch was to add bright prints to the wall.
Outcome
Lucas and his parents were thrilled with the completed bedroom and were happy that some of the existing furniture had been used in the redesign of the room.
Lucas loved his grown-up room and couldn’t wait to show his friends!
